"Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water'." (John 7:38)

"Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual." (1Cor. 2:12-13)

For The Moment

God’s discipline is not a chastisement for disobedience, a punishment for being wrong. That's what Satan wants us to think of our Heavenly Father. No, our Father’s discipline for His children is toward the destruction of our carnal nature, that we may know Love beyond ourselves.

PJR

Below is an inspiration my wife shared with me after reading this.

For the Moment

For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. (Hebrews 12:11-13)

Therefore, lift your drooping hands…
...the posture of one surrendered in worship,
and strengthen your weak knees…
...the posture of one in humility and prayer,
and make straight paths for your feet…
...the posture of one who follows Jesus,
so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather
be healed...the purpose of His discipline.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment...God is love and the goal of His instruction is to love you, by discipline and grace, toward ever increasing healing and freedom…the end result being love expressed as the fruit of His Spirit…which yields His abundant life...

…the supernatural release of the energy of HIS LIFE in and through you...peace that passes understanding…joy unspeakable…from glory to glory!

Posture yourself, therefore, for His healing. You will never give up any selfishness of the flesh for His sake that will not result in the greater release of His life in you. We die to being sourced in self that we may LIVE by Him…the highest return on investment you will ever be able to make in this lifetime!

Sanctify them by your truth; Your word is truth.

Ask. Seek. Knock. And don't stop.

  1. That's beautiful, what Nannette wrote! Never saw it in the posture imagery. It's wonderful to 'see' Truth, as well as read it. :) Love!

  2. Thank you, Pam. I too liked the unfolding of the physical imagery into the vital Spiritual imagery. Oh that many would see all of God's word in this way! There is no eternal reward for simply following orders.
