"Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water'." (John 7:38)

"Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual." (1Cor. 2:12-13)

What's Wrong With This Picture?

What's Wrong With This Picture (Video)?

http://vimeo.com/67724114

At the 3 minute mark of the video above, the narrator states, "Sermons are God's primary means for communicating with His church today." So, God still only speaks through a prophet? The one behind the pulpit, who has elevated himself as the communicator of God?

The reality is that sermons are man's primary means of communicating with their congregation from from a pulpit. It is a perpetual 1700 year old tradition that prevents the church from experiencing the communications of God through the Holy Spirit He has caused to dwell within them. (James 4:5) The church has not learned how to hear from God, nor are the people allowed to contribute their spiritual gifts toward building up the body except in the area of practical human service. The people in church today are passive because they are subjects of a man made church. God yearns jealously for the Spirit he has made to dwell in us, but the pastors won't budge to accommodate this. The Holy Spirit is thus quenched. The gift of pastor/teacher has been reformed into leader/teacher. It has become an office of idolatry. The arrogance of men displayed from the pulpit of today's 'church' is aggressive and the spirit of such is very obvious.

"What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice." (Philippians 1:18)
