"Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water'." (John 7:38)

"Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual." (1Cor. 2:12-13)

Deeper Waters

God is infinite...

...full of beauty, majesty, mystery, treasure to be pursued and discovered, wisdom, joy, peace, passionate love -- ABUNDANT LIFE!

We will never bottom out on God's LIFE...in Him, there is no boredom at all...but to possess more of Him, He must have more of us -- an intimate exchange!

So, why are we settling for walking on the surface of the gospel?

Busy with one religious activity after the other but relatively disconnected from the Spirit of God and from one another? If we hold tight to our carnal (earthy) life, we lose out on the availability of the ever increasing life of Christ in us—the hope of glory!

In Revelation, Jesus warns the church about luke-warmness and religious activity without the Holy Spirit’s fiery fervent, sacrificial love for Him and one another. Here is opportunity to repent.

If we want more of His life, we can ask for it, draw near, press in to Him.

Let’s plead with our Father for more…let’s ask Him to make us hungry and thirsty for more…but beware of the price — pride and selfishness (SELF- absorption, exaltation, glorification, direction…) — all have to go…but how do we manage that? We are addicted to ourselves — our comforts and our lifestyles!

If we look to Him for deliverance and healing, He will bring it as He deals with our heart’s idols, one at a time.

Dying to self (taking up our cross) is never easy, but it is so worth the freedom in Christ…worth it because to run with Jesus on the earth is LIFE, it is thrilling…and great will be our reward—intimacy with Him, now, yielding abundant fruit of the Spirit and purest joy, later, when we finally meet Him face to face…

…I want more of Him!!!

"For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." (Matthew 16:25)

  1. This 'I want more of Him' was the beginning of the most radical revolution in my life. So radical I never thought possible. It is a restless, consuming fire ever burning till bringing us to the end of ourselves... just to experience that our end is the start with something no ear has heard and no eye has seen!

    1. Markus,
Thank you so much for sharing your heart! It provoked me to prayer! :-) I have tasted enough of the Lord to know the truth of what is shared, here...yet, I am convicted of His invitation and my desperate need to draw nearer! We are living in an hour where it seems everything is fighting against us at this very point (and then there is the internal battle!)...let us, then, "encourage one another all the more"...that is truly the fellowship we seek. Thank you, again!
