"Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water'." (John 7:38)

"Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual." (1Cor. 2:12-13)

Disregard The Dust

Resisting evil is not a passive avoidance or coercion of distasteful circumstances. Nor is it an emotional appeal toward people, spawned by anger, frustration or fear. It is a direct confrontation of Satan by the Sword of the Spirit, which is Christ in us.

If we should cultivate an intentional relationship with the Son of God, not compromising with the pattern and wisdom of the god of this world, then the blood of Christ would be flowing through our own veins. Jesus has overcome the world; but if this Spiritual Authority that lives in us lies dormant due to our neglect of so great a salvation, we will never know Abundant Life this side of death. Jesus has already conquered the principalities and ruling authorities in the heavenlies, but the demons will not succumb to an earthen vessel that does not have the Spirit of Christ wrought within them.

"The evil spirit answered them, 'Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?'" (Acts 19:11-18).
The false authority of Satan and his demons will manifest their evil in the absence of Christ, regardless what Biblical incantation may be used to thwart them. The words and promises of God are powerless in dethroning evil if they are conveyed through an unsanctified human heart.

The Bible is a only a compass that should be guiding us into the Spiritual realm of faith. Its words alone might defeat the lesser ignorant demons, but the greater of them will laugh in our face if we've not sought the Spirit of the Word that lives within each believer, the body of Christ.

Bad morals are not the problem with humanity; they are simply the evidence that Satan has blinded mankind with his lies. Those without the call of God on their lives have a natural inclination to repay an eye for an eye, but we've been called to repay evil with good, love for hate. As ministers of reconciliation, we are not called to judge the people of the world, but to make disciples of them by confronting the demonic spirits that hold them hostage.

People are only problematic to the depraved spirit of man, but hold no sway unto the Spirit of God; for man apart from Him is but dust. Therefore, the target of the gospel is forgiveness of man's fallen state for the quickening of his soul unto Spirit and Truth. I'm reminded of the signs we come across when a store is remodeling or adding on to its space; "Please excuse the dust-we are expanding!" We all desire grace toward our flesh while our Father faithfully completes the good work He began in us.

"From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer." 2 Corinthians 5:16

PJR

"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." (John 3:17)

Neither did Jesus send us.
